Speech about volunteering

The topic of my speech is volunteering. To start with I would like to describe the given horizontal bar chart. It depicts in percentages reasons why people in Canada volunteering. The X axis represents percentage and Y shows us reasons. Overall, we can see that Canadians are very friendly. The majority of respondents is volunteering to help the community it’s more than 90 percent, about 80 percent volunteering to gain new experience. Also, quite popular option is that people truly believe in volunteering - around 60 percent. And about the same number is because to meet some new people and as a fact because their friends volunteer it’s 48 and 47 percent respectively.
Moving to the next question, one of the better-known benefits of volunteering is the impact on the local community. Unambiguously, I would volunteer to meet new people, because voluteering provides a unique opportunity: it connects people with very specific shared values. And the values may not be what you think.
