Smoking habit

Although smoking is an unhealthily habit, about 20 percent of young people smoke. The number of smoking people is increasing every year and it creates problems for other people and for themselves. Smoking is very popular and among teenagers, especially among boys.
The biggest harm that smoking can do is that it affects people’s health. It may cause lung cancer, heart disease and other serious illnesses. One out of six deaths in the world happens because of smoking.
There are several reasons why people start smoking. Teenagers often do what their parents do and if their parents smoke, they also want to try it. Another reason is that if everybody smokes in a big company of friends, a person also smokes, because he doesn’t want to be different from others. And of course as you all know advertisements have a big influence on people. The same happens with cigarette advertisements. This problem was bigger few years ago, when cigarette advertisements were aloud. I think our government made a right decision, that they banned cigarette promotion.
