• What the common jobs before the revolution were.
Farmers.
They, similar to Ironminers, never left the work force from old age, they only stopped once even walking turned out to be a chore. These farmers were the main source of sustenance for the town or city. Since travelling from place to place was a hard deal, most cities had to grow and cater their needs by themselves, but there can only be so much food for everyone. Thats why the job a farmer was the most common.
Miners.
A typical miner would start work in their teens, usually with no educational backing or prep for the job. They started out as helpers for their fathers and uncle- a sort of aprenticeship- before joining the lot on a work force in the iron plantation. Iron, for obvious reasons, is a widely used resource. To craft tools, smith weapons or other contraptions of the olden days.
The Textile Industry.
What changed?
Iron mines didnt exactly change till later on, the system of the pickaxe and minecart stayed the same for quite a while. Though the textile industry got a massive helping hand with factories. Now looms can be operated much more...
