Migration from Eastern Europe

In this assignment I have decided to write about Migration from Eastern Europe, because I come from East Europe. Europe has economic and political links with the whole world. Europeans can be found in almost every country of the world, like tourists, business people or emigrants and similarly people from almost every country of the world can be found in Europe. The migration of people corresponds to the flow of information, capital and goods. In the following I look at what is European Union and labour migration.
The European Union is a group of countries whose governments work together. On 25th of March in 1957 the six countries: Belgium, France, Netherlands, Germany, Italy and Luxemburg signed the Treaties of Rome. These were the Treaty of the European Economic Community (EEC) and the Treaty of the European Atomic Energy Community (EAEC or EURATOM).
The main aim of the treaties was that the six countries agreed to work towards integration into a single community. The emphasis was on: closer relations between member states, better living standards, development of economic activities, and expansion of the community.
In 1973 European Union expanded joined three countries: Denmark, Ireland and United Kingdom. In 1981 joined Greece. Portugal and Spain joined in 1986. In 1995 joined Austria, Finland, and Sweden. In 2004 ten new countries. And now there are 25 members. All these countries join to European Union because they think that they will benefit from the changes the EU makes.
European Union as a single market benefits us very much. There are freedoms to travel, work and do business abroad, choose from more goods and services and enjoy full consumer rights when shopping outside your own country. Freedom from many unnecessary rules and regulations.
