People in my country should start eating insects. Discuss.
For: Insects are a great source of nutrients.
• Contain a great deal of protein and iron.
• Have energy-rich fat and micronutrients and minerals.
Against: Some insects carry toxins in their body.
• Bees and certain kinds of ants carry toxins inside of them.
For: Insect farming requires less strain on our recourses than cattle farming does.
• It has been proven that 100 grams of beef yield around the same amount of protein as crickets, but takes way bigger toil on our resources than raising bugs does.
• Since growing insects is not that expensive, a lot of people experiencing hunger could be fed.
Against: Most of Lithuania‘s citizens have trouble-free access to a huge variety of foods, hence there is no demand for more of it.

Nowadays, the idea of including insects in our diet has reached us Lithuanians, but we tend to consider eating bugs as repulsive. However, consuming them has been proven to be beneficial in various aspects such as nutrition and resource efficiency.
