Dialogue about exchange students

She was from England and stayed with me for three weeks. • Thats cool. My visitor is also coming from England. • It was a really nice expierence for me and if you would like I could give you some tips. • Yes, exactly. I have hundreds of questions how to welcome and comunicate with my visitor. • So, first of all, you should make your visitor feel welcome. For example you can prepare a welcoming bedroom for him. • Well, you are right, Ive thought about this too. Also maybe I should do a party to celebrate his coming. • No, I dont think thats a good idea. Because I feel like your exchange student will be a little bit confused, scared and overwhelmed. • Yea, maybe party is a bit to much. What if I introduce him to my closest friends so he wouldnt be so scared and would feel more comfortable. • Thats a better idea. That way he will feel more like at home and will find some new friends. • Okay, so now I pretty much know how to welcome him. How about comunicating with him? Also I dont think that its going to be dificullt to speak with him, because I know english pretty well. • Yes, i think so too. When you speak to him, you should be kind and dont overwhelm him. Sometimes you will have to take iniciative and start conversation first. Also you could ask them to hang out. • I sure will. Maybe u have some tips of how to entertain him? Should i take him to cinema or somewhere like that? • U definetly should, but first you should ask him what he likes and what kind of hobies he has. And base of that you could decide where to go. • I think i also should help him celebrite his traditions. • Yea. I dont think that entertaining will be so hard because you two will decide what do u want to do. Im sure that you two will have the best time together. • I think so too. I guess it will be hard to say goodbye to him when it comes time for him to leave. How do I keep the bond between us strong? • Based on my experience, i can say that its going to be hard to say goodbye, but im sure that you will keep in touch. You should regularly text him and ask about hot hes doing and whats up. • Yes, and maybe if we would become so good friends i could visit him in England. What a fantastic idea!
