SAVE OUR LONG SUMMER!

After reading a newspaper’s article, I was disappointed, because it was suggested that students should no longer enjoy their long holiday over summer. The previously mentioned article suggested that school should expand the academic year and as a result, students would be more academically successful. Therefore, when starting new academic year students will not face the problem while trying to solve more complex tasks, because it has not been a long time since they were doing it. As a young person who finds summer holiday ineffably enjoyable, I’d like to outline some arguments against this view.

I strongly disagree with the suggestion that there is no value in long summer holiday. To begin with, some students want financial independence. Correspondingly, not every young person has parents who ensure their child’s needs and wants, so it is crucial for students to find a job over the summer and make enough money for the upcoming year. Moreover, summer is the hottest season and not every school has the right conditions to guarantee to continue effective learning. Also, the vast majority of youth want to experience world and have invaluable memories, so when else to do this if not over long summer holiday?
