We all are different, and most people have met people that are, for instance, weird to others. And I want to tell about my meeting with people who are different from me.
I have worked with a girl, and she has Asperger syndrome. At first I thought that she was just shy, but as it turned out later, she has Asperger syndrome, but it did not change my opinion about her. She is super kind, and while I was working with her, I learned a lot. For instance, she is not afraid to tell about her syndrome and show herself for who she is. I admire her because of this, and after talking to her I thought about many things. And I came to the conclusion that I no need to be ashamed of showing yourself to be somehow different and not paying attention to people who are trying to hurt you.
I also have friends who are part of the LGBTQ+ community. When they came out to me, I just supported them because I know how hard it can be to open up sometimes. They told me that they did not want at first to accept themselves as they were because of their families and etc. Society always said that it was not okay to be lesbian, gay or something, and people such as my friends were just scared to come out to others, but now they are proud to be themselves. My friends went through a lot: bullying at school, misunderstanding of parents, friends and society. And these things broke them, but at the right moment they were given a helping hand, and they became stronger. And they taught me fortitude and to always stay strong and not pay attention to bullies.
